Historical overview of the True Image Cloud package introduced alongside True Image 2016, with guidance for identifying an old account and recovery workflow.

**Historical software reference.** This article describes the named historical release or service.

## The True Image Cloud package

Acronis introduced True Image Cloud alongside True Image 2016 in 2015. The Cloud package combined local and online backup with mobile-device backup. It is a specific historical product name, not a generic label for every True Image edition that can use cloud storage.

## Local images and online recovery

The launch documentation describes whole-computer image backup, recovery of files or an entire system and mobile backup to Acronis Cloud. Local images and online copies have different access paths, so establish which kind of backup contains the data you need.

## Identify what is available to restore

Check the application edition, the account and the devices listed in its recovery interface. Look for a recovery point from before the loss. Restore a small selection first, keeping existing files intact until their replacements are verified.

Historical package descriptions do not confirm current subscription terms, storage availability or activation. Keep an independent copy of recovered data and preserve credentials needed to unlock encrypted archives.
