A separate Mac edition
True Image 2015 for Mac was a backup application for the Mac platform. It had its own interface and recovery instructions. Features described in the PC edition should not automatically be attributed to the Mac edition.
Backup destinations and recovery
The Mac guide describes backing up the computer to local storage or Acronis Cloud, selecting backup data and restoring protected content. It also describes encrypted backups and creating bootable media for recovering a Mac that cannot start normally.
Prepare for access to an old backup
Identify where the complete backup is stored and preserve any encryption password. For a local archive, keep another copy before attempting conversion or restoration. For a cloud backup, first confirm access to the account and the available recovery points.
Recovery instructions must match the application edition and the destination computer. An old product page cannot confirm that a current Mac will run the original application or boot its rescue media.
