Bring a growing photo collection into order
Ashampoo Photo Organizer Pro 26 groups, searches and sorts photos across storage locations. Smart albums organize pictures by tags, ratings, locations and camera data.
Start with one event or project. Decide which labels will help you find it again, then use the same vocabulary across the collection instead of creating slightly different names for each outing.
Browse folders and connect cloud storage
Version 26 adds a classic folder tree, WebDAV connections and batch editing of tags and locations. OneDrive and Dropbox integration also brings remote photos into the overview.
A folder hierarchy and descriptive tags serve different purposes: folders establish where a picture belongs, while tags can describe several subjects within it. Keep a separate backup before reorganizing important originals.
Find photos through tags and metadata
Filter by location, rating, tags and camera properties. Metadata handling includes EXIF, XMP and XMP sidecar files, with mapped photo locations available.
Check a small selection before applying location changes to a batch. Pictures from the same trip may have been taken in different places, so a single label will not always describe every image accurately.
Review duplicates and choose your best shots
Duplicate detection identifies identical or similar images. Automatic grouping and focus assessment help compare a series and select sharper shots.
Review suggested removals before deleting anything. Similar framing can still capture different expressions or details, and the sharpest picture may not be the one you want to keep.
Import and name a photo series consistently
Import from cameras, memory cards and USB storage, skipping previously imported files. Naming templates support batch renaming.
Choose names that remain useful outside the application, such as an event label with a sequence number. For broader filename organization, explore Ashampoo File Renamer.
Move from selection to editing and presentation
View pictures in full-screen theater mode or open a preferred external editor. For related workflows, see Photo Optimizer Pro for corrections and Photo Collage for compositions.
Select your source images before editing them, and keep originals available for future projects. Browse more photo editing software to plan the next step.
