What this overview covers

True Image 2015 reorganized the PC backup interface around selecting a source, destination and recovery point. Its documentation also lists features removed from the preceding release, so upgrading did not simply preserve every older utility.

Backup and restoration

The release covered whole-computer and selected-data backups, scheduling and recovery. Try&Decide was among the features removed in 2015. If an existing workflow depends on that utility, check the release-specific manual before replacing an older installation.

Cloud features and old accounts

The PC edition and True Image 2015 for Mac had separate documentation and recovery procedures. Cloud recovery also depended on the account and completed uploads; a local image and an online copy are different recovery sources.

Distinguish 2015 from True Image Cloud

True Image Cloud was introduced alongside True Image 2016. The Cloud package name should not be used as a synonym for every True Image 2015 installation that accessed cloud storage.
