Organize storage with EaseUS Partition Master 20

EaseUS Partition Master 20 provides tools for managing disk partitions on Windows. Use it to review drive layout and plan changes such as resizing or moving a partition.

Start with the disk and partition you intend to change. Confirm their identity and keep an independent backup before applying a layout change; partition management is not itself a recovery copy.

Plan a resize around the existing layout

Resize and move operations adjust a partition and its position within the available disk layout. The result depends on file-system constraints, free space, and neighboring partitions.

For example, extending a system partition may involve more than selecting a larger number. Inspect the proposed layout and the effect on adjacent data rather than assuming free space elsewhere on the computer can always be used.

Review pending operations before execution

The workflow lets you prepare operations and review them before execution. Check the selected disk, affected partitions, and proposed sizes.

Keep the plan focused and avoid adding unrelated changes to a single session. A preview helps you assess the intended result, but does not guarantee completion or remove the need for a backup.

Distinguish resizing from destructive operations

Partition tools also include creation, deletion, and formatting workflows. These actions have different consequences from adjusting the size of an existing partition.

Read the chosen action carefully. Formatting or deleting a partition can remove access to its contents; preserve needed files and do not use either action merely to make an unfamiliar volume easier to recognize.

Check edition access for migration and conversion

OS migration, cloning, and disk-conversion workflows are part of the wider Partition Master offering, with access depending on edition. Confirm what your version 20 license enables before planning them.

Do not assume a current feature page describes every older edition identically. For migration, verify the destination and preserve its existing data before proceeding. For a dedicated cloning application, compare EaseUS Disk Copy.

Allow for restart-based operations

Some changes to in-use partitions are completed in boot mode. Plan around a possible restart and the time needed to move existing data.

Save open work and maintain reliable power during the operation. Review the result in Windows afterward, including the applications and files affected by the layout change.

Keep backup and recovery planning separate

For system images and file backups, see EaseUS Todo Backup Home. Our file-backup guide also explains recovery-copy planning.

Partition management cannot guarantee that every startup problem, storage error, or data-loss incident will be resolved. Keep the original data recoverable before making substantial changes.
