Local backup and images
True Image 2014 combined local disk imaging and file backup with full-system backup to Acronis Cloud. It could therefore protect the system through both local and off-site recovery paths, rather than treating cloud storage only as a destination for selected files.
Cloud and synchronization
Standard and Premium editions shared the backup workflow. Premium added Universal Restore for different hardware, dynamic-disk support and WinPE recovery-media tools. See the Premium edition reference when identifying an existing license.
Recovering an old archive
Keep the application version, rescue media and any encryption password associated with the backup. Before replacing your only copy, test file extraction or recovery using documented compatibility guidance.
