Enlarge photographs for print and presentation
Ashampoo ZOOM #3 uses deep-learning-based SSSP technology, short for Super Symmetric Smart Patches, to create larger versions of photographs. Prepare an image for a print, a presentation or a creative layout, then inspect the processed result before saving a separate copy.
Start with the best source available and choose an output size that suits the intended use. A larger pixel count alone does not establish that the image contains more accurate detail.
Refine contours and generate fine textures
Automatic deblurring helps refine contours, while the Intelligent Details method synthesizes microstructures in soft image areas. These tools change the appearance of the enlargement, so compare recognizable features with the original.
Look closely at faces, lettering, foliage and repeated patterns. Generated texture can look convincing without reproducing what was originally present. Keep the source file and review important details before using an enlarged image where accuracy matters.
Work with RAW images and sensor defect correction
ZOOM #3 includes a RAW module with support for a wide range of camera formats. Sensor defect correction addresses image blemishes such as spots and scratches as part of preparing the photograph.
Test a file from your own camera before processing an important collection. Inspect corrected areas against nearby textures and keep an untouched original so you can revisit the processing choices later.
Plan processing with STM and live assistants
STM, or Short Term Memory, is designed to speed up image processing. Assistants provide feedback on scaling settings, estimated processing time and memory use to help assess a job before committing to the output.
Try a representative photograph first. Compare the time taken with the visible improvement at your intended viewing size, then adjust the settings for the remaining images. The most demanding configuration is not automatically the most useful choice.
Reuse presets and inspect results with a magnifier
Custom presets help retain settings for recurring work, and custom training images allow further adjustment of the AI processing. The comparison view and magnifier help inspect the source alongside the enlargement.
Review both a close view of fine details and the full composition. Check smooth backgrounds for unwanted texture and edges for halos, then assess the image at the size at which it will actually be displayed or printed.
Choose enlargement, conversion or collection management
ZOOM #3 focuses on enlarging still images and refining their appearance. The earlier ZOOM #2 page describes the previous version's scaling workflow. For repeated format conversion, resizing and watermarking, explore Ashampoo Photo Converter.
