Review solid-state storage with Auslogics SSD Optimizer
Auslogics SSD Optimizer is a Windows utility for SSD maintenance, space analysis, and drive-status monitoring. It brings together tools for reviewing storage activity and selecting maintenance appropriate to solid-state drives.
Start with the drive you intend to manage and the task you want to address. A full drive, a slow application, and a hardware warning require different decisions rather than the same optimization action.
Choose maintenance for the detected drive type
The drive list identifies SSDs and HDDs. SSD Optimizer focuses on solid-state storage and does not apply its SSD optimization to a system containing only mechanical hard drives.
For HDD fragmentation tasks, see Auslogics Disk Defrag. For a bundle covering both HDD and SSD maintenance, see Auslogics Disk Toolkit. On a computer with mixed storage, check the selected drive before changing settings.
Review SSD optimization settings
SSD-oriented maintenance includes configurable TRIM and file-operation settings. Review the selected actions and the features available in your edition before starting a task.
Keep the scope deliberate. Running more maintenance is not automatically better, and optimization can itself involve storage activity. Compare the outcome around your normal workload rather than expecting a fixed speed increase.
Find folders that occupy the most space
Disk Explorer sorts folders by size to help identify large collections. Use the results to decide which personal files can be moved or archived.
A large folder is not necessarily unnecessary. Inspect its contents and confirm that another copy is usable before removing working data. Avoid deleting application-managed files solely because their size stands out.
Monitor health and storage activity
Drive-status views include health information and read/write statistics over selected periods. These readings help you observe changes and investigate unusual activity.
Treat any service-life estimate as an indication rather than a deadline or a guarantee. Keep independent backups even when the current status looks favorable.
Plan cleanup and recurring maintenance
Cleanup before optimization and scheduled tasks can form part of a maintenance routine. Review the selected edition for advanced controls and scheduling options.
Inspect cleanup categories before applying them, particularly if they include the Recycle Bin or cached data you may still need. Choose a maintenance time that avoids competing large transfers and check the result after the first run.
Separate SSD maintenance from other Windows tasks
For driver checks, see Auslogics Driver Updater. For repeated personal files, see Auslogics Duplicate File Finder. These tools address different sources of maintenance work.
Review the product edition and selected license before choosing. SSD maintenance does not replace backup, repair every hardware fault, or guarantee a longer drive lifespan.
