Manage passwords and account details with ByePass+
iolo ByePass+ stores passwords, payment-card details and secure notes, with autofill and a password generator for everyday account management. It is the current product replacing the legacy ByePass password manager.
Keep account entries organized so you can identify the right website and login before using a stored credential. Saving a password does not change it on the website or enable additional account protection by itself.
Install the browser extension and set up access
The current installation workflow provides extensions for Chrome, Edge and Firefox through the Password Manager area of the iolo application. Account setup uses your email address, an activated license key, a master password and a password hint, followed by email verification.
Your master password unlocks the stored data. Choose one you can retain and keep the hint useful to you without revealing the password. Do not assume that an ordinary email reset can recover access to the stored contents.
Generate passwords and review autofill
The password generator creates new passwords, while autofill supplies saved login details. Use a different password for each account so a compromised credential is not reused across unrelated services.
When changing a password, complete the website's own password-change process and confirm that the saved entry matches it. Check the destination before filling a form, especially when a page looks unfamiliar.
Store payment details and private notes
ByePass+ provides encrypted storage for credit-card details and secure notes alongside account passwords. Notes can hold information that does not belong in a website login entry.
Review card details before submitting a checkout form. Information you send to a merchant remains part of that transaction; storing it in a password manager does not make the recipient unable to process it.
Use synchronized passwords across computers
The product supports accessing and synchronizing passwords across multiple computers. Set up the appropriate client or extension on each device you intend to use and confirm that expected entries are available.
Test a saved login on the new device before relying on it. Keep devices locked when unattended and use the additional sign-in checks offered by important online accounts.
Move existing data from legacy ByePass
iolo documents a separate migration process: export data from the old ByePass extension as CSV, update the iolo application, install ByePass+ and create its account, then import the file with ByePass selected as the source.
Review imported entries before removing the old setup. Treat the exported CSV as sensitive account data, keep it out of shared folders and remove temporary copies after verifying the transfer.
