Which workflow fits?
Consider Ultimate Defense for its password and data components
iolo System Mechanic Ultimate Defense includes ByePass+ and Privacy Guardian alongside maintenance and malware tools. Search and Recover and DriveScrubber serve recovery and erasure tasks, which require their own source, destination and result checks.
Consider Avast Ultimate for its current privacy-service bundle
Avast Ultimate currently includes Premium Security, Premium VPN, Cleanup Premium and AntiTrack. The current Windows offer provides security, VPN and cleanup access through Avast One, with AntiTrack in a separate application. Verify the components activated on the actual PC.
Older product names or bundle descriptions do not establish access to legacy password tools. Review an existing account separately before changing installations. Likewise, compare the actual privacy control: clearing cookies, managing a password vault and using a VPN are different operations.
Edition scope and practical checks
The unnumbered Avast card selects Ultimate. The comparison describes the current published bundle, whose applications and platform coverage may differ from older subscriptions. Ultimate Defense includes ByePass+, but does not automatically include the separate ioloVPN service.
- Identify the current subscription and the Windows applications used to access each component.
- Follow protection migration guidance and check the intended antivirus service and updates.
- Configure privacy exclusions, cleanup categories, password access and any VPN separately.
- Test browser sessions and ordinary applications, and preserve needed files before any recovery or erasure task.
We have not benchmarked malware detection, cleanup accuracy or performance on identical systems. The comparison describes documented tool coverage. Recovery depends on surviving, readable data; threat removal and privacy controls do not replace independent, tested backups.
